Fellows Resturant, Paris

Fellows Saint-Germain in Paris is a bold, design-led restaurant by Maslow Group, where industrial structure is balanced with softer materials to create a relaxed yet architectural dining space. With double-height glazing, hard finishes, and an open-plan layout, controlling acoustics was key to ensuring the space felt as comfortable as it looks.

ekko Acoustics supplied a bespoke grey ceiling grid system, designed to integrate seamlessly into the overall aesthetic while delivering effective sound absorption at ceiling level. The modular felt grid enhances the visual rhythm of the space while reducing reverberation, allowing the restaurant to maintain its lively atmosphere without becoming overwhelming.

One of the biggest challenges was logistics; manufacturing in the UK and transporting the system into central Paris required careful coordination and a smart, modular approach to ensure smooth delivery and installation. The result is a space where acoustic performance and design work hand in hand.

“Acoustic performance and architectural design working as one, proving the ceiling can do far more than just define the space.”
